In one of my recent posts, I talked about the importance of self-compassion when it comes to weight loss. Often people don’t know where to start when it comes to exercise. Some people feel that they would love to do Yoga, but are afraid of being judged in a traditional class as they don’t feel comfortable with their body. So, if you are one of those people I wanted to share this resource with you: Curvy Yoga. Anna Guest-Jelley has developed a Yoga programme for curvy women that can be done in the privacy of your own home. She is so positive and her motto “love your body live your life” sums up the fun attitude that she brings to her classes. She encourages body acceptance. Everyone is welcome to join. She offers both free and studio membership.
Personally, I have found that doing a Yoga practice brings a sense of calm to the mind as well as developing flexibility in the body. In the moments when you are focused only on the movements that your body is making, then you are truly in the present.
