Thanksgiving – a hard time for some.
I’m writing this post in response to the stats for my website today. It has been busy and I was wondering why. All of my views are coming from America, and in America, people have been enjoying the Thanksgiving period and of course, it’s Black Friday.
So, at a time when, according to the commercials, people are happily sitting around a table laden with turkey and food, smiling and having fun with their families, or shopping online, why are people searching for Mindfulness sites?
One, they are either hiding away in a room somewhere, escaping their families, or perhaps, and it makes me sad to think of it, they are alone.
If you are seeking refuge from your family, then you only need a couple of minutes to take a few mindful breaths and reconnect with yourselves. 3 minutes will do – just focus on your breath and feel refreshed afterwards. You might also need this after the adrenalin rush of bagging a Black Friday bargain.
If you are alone, and not finding much to be thankful for, then try to treat yourself kindly, as you would a friend, perhaps going for a walk, or doing something else that you enjoy.
Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing – thank you for visiting my site today. I hope to welcome you back again.
