Your 40’s and 50’s can be a difficult time emotionally as well as physically. Your children are growing up fast or may have left home and you might be asking the question, Who am I now? Perhaps you are longing to reconnect with yourself but aren’t sure how. You may be dealing with the stress of caring for ageing parents as well as trying to cope with changes in your own body and life.
Mindfulness can help.
When you discover mindfulness, you realise that it is not a technique, but a way of life. It’s a way of life that enables you to be more connected to what is going on in your body and mind and helps reduce stress. You can enjoy a greater sense of wellbeing and connection with yourself, others and the world around you, while appreciating the simple things in life.
I offer a customised 8-week introductory mindfulness course for beginners which will guide you through the basics of mindfulness including mindfulness meditation. Don’t be put off by the word ‘meditation’ – it doesn’t have to mean sitting cross-legged on the floor. There are many types of meditations including movement meditation and walking meditation. You’ll learn how to connect to your body, thoughts and emotions and how to bring a greater sense of calm and wellbeing to your life. You will also learn how to be mindful during your day with simple practical tips and finally we will develop an action plan for you to take away at the end of the course. And unlike many other courses, I offer ongoing support if you wish.
The course is done online via Skype with 8 sessions of about one to one and half hours, weekly, with me. You’ll then have practical tips and a meditation to work on during the week.
If you’d like to find out more then get in touch and we can arrange a chat to see if the course would be a good match for you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
